October is American Cheese Month

This October is the 2nd Annual American Cheese Month, and cheese shops around the country are celebrating by participating in the American Cheese Month Passport Program.

Designed to generate enthusiasm for American artisan, farmstead, and specialty cheeses, the passport program invites customers to purchase an American Cheese Month Passport at their local retailer for $10. The passport provides a special discount (ranging from 20-40% off) on a designated “Cheese of the Day” from October 1-31 at any participating retailer. 100% of revenue from passport sales will benefit the nonprofit American Cheese Education Foundation.

Participating shops so far include:

Salutation Recipes

I'm trying to keep a log of all the things we cook which taste really lovely. You know what it's like: you tweak and tweak a recipe until it's barely recognisable and then wonder how you used to make it. And it will also save a lot of time and bits of paper when it comes to sharing those recipes with friends.
