More Cheese Awards: Finalists in the 2013 Good Food Awards announced

Congratulations to this year’s batch of finalists in the now, annual Good Food Awards.

“The Good Food Awards were created through a collaboration of food producers, farmers, food journalists and independent grocers organized by Seedling Projects. This team has nominated judges from across the country to select the 99 winners honored in a special ceremony hosted by Alice Waters in San Francisco on the evening of January 18, 2013. To showcase the winners among the broader food-loving public, there will be a vibrant Good Food Marketplace on January 19, 2013. Visitors to the marketplace can taste, buy and meet the producers behind theses award-winning foods, surrounded by the spectacular Saturday Farmers’ Market at San Francisco’s iconic Ferry Building.”

I can count ten of the fourteen nominees among the cheeses I’ve had, several of which have been reviewed here on the blog. Do you have any favorites among them? Certainly Andy Hatch’s Pleasant Ridge Reserve and Cobb Hill’s Ascutney Mountain would be on my personal short list.

Salutation Recipes

I'm trying to keep a log of all the things we cook which taste really lovely. You know what it's like: you tweak and tweak a recipe until it's barely recognisable and then wonder how you used to make it. And it will also save a lot of time and bits of paper when it comes to sharing those recipes with friends.
